Annapurna Base Camp Trek 2024

A great blend of nepal’s high highlands and the terai is the annapurna base camp hike. Physically located in the heart of nepal and proudly containing peaks that rise more than 7000 meters. This region is exceptional and boasts a distinct, one-of-a-kind kind of nature. Colonel james O.M. Of the british expedition inaugurated the annapurna base camp for the first time. Jimmy roberts called the twentieth century the “century of the gods” in 1956. Since then, the sanctuary has gone by the name “annapurna sanctuary.”

Hikers have long been drawn to the region by the picture-perfect scenery and friendly residents, and the area’s well-cut green trekking is a genuinely epic himalayan characteristic that can be done in either enterprise camp or teahouse style, or both. Their attributes. The difficulty of trails does not fatigue your limbs. The trip will be enjoyable for you because you will pass through so many lovely communities.

Our adventure begins in pokhara, and the first part takes us across the beautiful hills in the center of rugged rural nepal. In the stunning backdrop of the majestic mountain ranges of annapurna, manaslu, and dhaulagiri, the most gorgeous peak of all the himalayan ranges, commemorating the fish, the modest gray-roofed settlements, nestled within well-cut terraced fields, create odd panoramas. Head peak.

Spending time in several villages, where a diverse population of locals from various communities in nepal reside, is also a fascinating experience. These villages are home to tea houses throughout the most of the journey. After hiking to annapurna base camp, we return to kathmandu and finish our adventure in the comfort of our accommodation, taking steps from himalayan hotel, jhinu dada.

You’ll enjoy stunning views of the city, the himalaya, and the terraced fields below as you take off and land in kathmandu. After clearing customs, a representative will be there to welcome you, help you get settled into your hotel, and walk you through the initial cultural shock of kathmandu’s twisting, tiny streets.

Drive from kathmandu to pokhara (approximately 6 hrs). When you arrive in pokhara, you may take advantage of the city’s calmer atmosphere and lakeside area. Pokhara is located at an altitude of 850 meters (2,788 feet), and we will spend the night there at a hotel.

Today, the route passes through one of the region’s most picturesque ethnic communities. The location is ghandruk village. After breakfast, you go to nayapul in roughly 30 minutes on your own time. Your trip will begin from there. It’s simple walking here. You must walk for almost two hours. Since it’s a clear day for hiking, you may enjoy the stunning views of mount annapurna and other high peaks. Your journey by foot first leads you to birethati, then to khimche, and lastly to your final goal, i.e. Ghandruk. This is an ethnic hamlet where the gurung people predominate. Their kind hospitality is fantastic. Their clothing is exquisite. It is worthwhile to explore the gurung museum and this neighborhood.

This is the 5-6 hours of trekking. The lengthy trek to learn about the annapurna base camp is a beautiful journey across the varied nepalese landscape and manner of life. Trekking distance from ghandruk to chhomrong is 9.8 kilometers (6 miles). The settlement of ghandruk is located at a height of 1940 meters above sea level.

Today we will leave chhomrong and move forward to dovan.  The annapurna base camp trip is one of the most well-known treks in the annapurna area, which spans the distance from chhomrong to dovan. Trekking from chhomrong to dovan takes 8.6 kilometers/5.3 miles. You must hike for 5 to 7 hours from chhomrong to dovan, which is located at a height of 2600 meters above sea level.

We will walk all the way to Machhapuchchhre Base Camp today (or MBC). It’s a longer day today. At 3,230m/10,597 ft, we will travel from Dovan to Deurali for lunch. We begin by ascending through bamboo forest and then through rhododendron woodland to Hinku Cave. It’s entirely uphill for 6.7km/4.2 miles. After lunch, we have another 2 hours and 30 minutes to go through the breathtaking Annapurna Valley to Machhapuchchhre Base Camp at 3,700m/ 12,140 feet. Today’s total hiking distance is 13km/8.1 miles.

As you go to ABC today, you will arrive at your ultimate objective. All the way to Machchhapuchchre base camp, there is an ascent. The views of machchhapuchchhre himal, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, himchuli, and other snow-capped peaks are breathtaking from this camp. Because the route gets broader and wider and the jungle gradually fades, it is really captivating as you approach the Annapurna sanctuary region. The vistas are clearer and closer from the Annapurna base camp. It is possible to clearly observe the annapurna ranges, fishtail peak, and other summits.

The ideal location for trekkers to take in the breathtaking vista of the annapurna range is annapurna base camp. From annapurna mountain, see the first sunrise. You may even record it on your camera lens when the white darkness transforms to gold. It’s time to say farewell to those lofty summits after staying long enough in base camp. We’ll return to sinuwa. On our way back, we’ll take the same route through machhapuchhre base camp. Stay in a lodge at sinuwa.

From sinuwa to jhinu dada, the trip downhill should take 5 to 6 hours. Spend some amazing moments at a natural hot spring at jhinu dada. Take a soak in the natural hot spring to relieve your pain, fatigue, and exhaustion and to reenergize yourself for further walks. We’ll end the day once you enjoy the hot bath.

Drive back to pokhara for 3–4 hours after a 1-hour trek from jhinu danda to the pickup location. We have one more short day of hiking left, and we’ll walk for about an hour to the pickup location, where our jeep will be waiting. The next three to four hours will be spent on the trip back to pokhara, where we will spend the remainder of the day at our leisure.

We take a 40-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu while enjoying views of the majestic Himalayas. We pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel, where you may spend the remainder of the day relaxing in your room or shopping in the neighborhood markets. Overnight in a Kathmandu 3-star hotel.
